Email Campaigns
Reach your customers with marketing emails, recover lost sales with abandoned cart reminders, and grow repeat purchases.
Overview
Sellvy includes built-in email campaign tools so you do not need a separate email marketing service. You can send one-off campaigns, automated abandoned cart sequences, and targeted messages to customer segments — all from your dashboard.
All emails are sent from your custom sender email (if configured) or from Sellvy on your behalf. Customers can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
Creating a campaign
To create a new email campaign:
- Go to Email Campaigns in your dashboard sidebar.
- Click New Campaign.
- Subject line — Write a compelling subject that will make customers open the email.
- Email body— Compose your message using the rich text editor. You can include formatted text, links, and images.
- Recipients— Choose to send to all customers or a specific segment (see Customer Segmentation below).
- Send or schedule — Send immediately or schedule for a specific date and time.
Tip:Preview your email before sending by clicking the “Preview” button. This shows exactly what your customers will see, including any personalization variables.
Campaign ideas
Not sure what to send? Here are some effective campaign types:
- •New product launch — Announce a new product to your existing customer base.
- •Seasonal sale — Run a limited-time promotion with a coupon code.
- •Product update — Let past buyers know about a major update to a product they purchased.
- •Re-engagement — Reach out to customers who have not purchased in a while with a special offer.
Abandoned cart recovery
Abandoned cart emails are sent automatically to customers who started checkout but did not complete their purchase. This is one of the most effective ways to recover lost revenue.
To set up abandoned cart emails:
- Go to Email Campaigns → Abandoned Cart in your dashboard.
- Enable abandoned cart recovery.
- Configure your reminders:
Reminder timing
Choose when to send each reminder after a cart is abandoned. You can set up multiple reminders (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours, 72 hours). Each reminder is only sent if the customer still has not completed their purchase.
Cart value filter
Set a minimum and maximum cart amount to control which abandoned carts trigger reminders. This lets you focus recovery efforts on higher-value carts.
Coupon incentive
Optionally include a discount coupon in your abandoned cart emails to incentivize the customer to complete their purchase. Select an existing coupon or create a new one specifically for cart recovery.
Tip: The most effective abandoned cart strategy is to send a plain reminder at 1 hour, then a follow-up with a small discount at 24 hours. Recovery rates drop sharply after 48 hours.
Customer segmentation
Instead of emailing your entire customer list, you can target specific segments for more relevant messaging. Sellvy lets you create segments based on:
- •Products purchased — Target customers who bought a specific product.
- •Total spent — Reach high-value customers who have spent above a certain amount.
- •Order count — Target repeat customers or first-time buyers.
- •Country— Send geo-targeted campaigns to customers in specific regions.
- •Last purchase date — Re-engage customers who have not bought in a specified period.
Tracking campaign performance
After sending a campaign, track its performance from the campaign detail page. Sellvy reports:
- •Emails sent and delivered
- •Open rate
- •Click rate
- •Unsubscribes
- •Revenue generated (orders placed after clicking a campaign link)
Custom sender email
By default, campaigns are sent from a Sellvy email address on your behalf. For a more professional look, you can set a custom sender email so campaigns come from your own domain (e.g., hello@yourbrand.com).
To configure this, go to Settings → Email and follow the DNS verification steps. You will need to add SPF and DKIM records to your domain to authorize Sellvy to send on your behalf.
